Dice are probably the most well-known tabletop game component of all time. Dice come in all sizes, designs, numbers of sides, and sometimes they are completely customized for a single game. Many board games have dice and use them in many different ways. This article will introduce some best dice game.
1. Sword and Sorcery
Sword and Sorcery is an excellent American game that ranks 10th on the list. It has a certain story, but it’s all about crawling in a “dungeon” to advance the story. Encounter different monsters and fight them. Then go back and keep going. Do it all again.
Gameplay Introduction
When you fight monsters, you roll dice. If you can gang up on them, you get some automatic hits. Or if you have the right items, you get more automatic hits. Or if you aim. Maybe with all of this and a good roll, you’ll be able to knock down a monster in one hit. This game will make you feel like a hero, fighting in a dungeon. And it may be a little simple. That is to say, rolling dice is fun. Especially since there are extra symbols on the dice, not just hit or miss. Because if you get the right combination, maybe you can boost your damage further or ignore their armor. Of course, after your turn, you have to roll towards the enemy. They might hit you back hard and knock you out. It’s a nice straight dice-rolling dungeon crawler game.
2. Dead of Winter
I like the idea of games where the number of dice matters, rather than just simply comparing whether my number beats your number. If it does, I win, like in Risk. Dead of Winter gives you a lot of things to do with these metal dice. You can kill zombies. You can search locations if you roll high enough, or you can set up roadblocks or do other things if you roll high enough. Spend the dice to keep a small group of survivors alive for another day. There is no dice mitigation in this game. So that means you get what you roll. Now, there are always things you can do with the dice, but it may not be what you really want. While rolling the dice is a random thing, it is one of the things that makes everyone look like a bit of a traitor. There’s nothing they can do about it, but it feels like a bad dice roll is more likely to be a traitor. That’s what Dead of Winter is about, it’s about fighting zombies, but it’s more about can you trust your fellow survivors? Will they come to get you?
3.Village Attacks
Sometimes you just want to be a monster, and with Village Attacks, you can do just that. You and your team of monsters are just resting in your castle. Most likely on top of a cliff. Somehow managing to keep the village below in constant shadow when those pesky villagers decide to ruin your night by attacking your castle with pitchforks and torches. Can you hold them off? That’s what you use the dice for. They enable you to move, attack from a distance, attack at close range, and do other things. Like defending against possible damage. There are fewer dice mitigations in this game, so you better hope you roll well. But if you roll three of the same symbol, you can always reroll it. Until you don’t have it anymore. The theme is fun. While the game is a bit dark, I found it to be more silly to play. Because the theme and idea of these monsters just want some peace and quiet but the villagers keep harassing them.
